Before you start
A preview of the expected result
Smile design combines several techniques, such as veneers, dental contouring and whitening, to create a whiter, more balanced smile that fits the real shape of your face.
The process starts by understanding what proportion of teeth, gums and lips looks natural on your face. That’s why the facial analysis comes before any procedure.
What it includes
- Facial and dental analysis to define proportions, not just tooth color.
- A preview of the expected result before working on any tooth.
- The combination of techniques your case needs: it can be whitening alone, or veneers and contouring as well.
- Final polishing adjustments and a bite check.
When does it make sense?
If whitening alone doesn’t give you what you’re looking for, for example uneven teeth, gaps between teeth or a smile that feels out of proportion with your face, smile design works on several factors at once instead of treating them separately.
“Designed for your face, not a generic mold.”
When does a smile makeover make sense?
Teeth of uneven shape or size
Whitening alone doesn't fix differences in shape between teeth.
Gaps between teeth
Spaces that affect the symmetry of your smile.
A smile that feels out of proportion
The shape, size or proportion doesn't match the rest of your face.
Treatment options
Veneers
Thin shells bonded to the front of the tooth to correct shape, size or color in a longer-lasting way.
Dental contouring
Minor shape adjustments, by reshaping or adding material, to even out edges or corners without touching the inner structure of the tooth.
Whitening
The color part of the plan: the same technique as our whitening service, coordinated within a broader design.
Frequently asked questions
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the techniques combined. It can be a single whitening session or several if veneers or contouring are added.
Is it reversible?
Whitening and light contouring are. Veneers require minimal enamel reduction and are a more permanent change.
Can I see the result before deciding?
Yes, your specialist shows you a preview of the expected result before working on any tooth.
Does it cover very spaced-out or crooked teeth?
Tooth position problems are usually solved first with orthodontics; smile design focuses on shape and color.
