Common reasons

Severe pain, injury, broken tooth, infection

First step

Exam and X-ray to define the treatment

Severe pain, a blow to the mouth, a broken tooth or an infection that can’t wait. At Oralmaax we see dental emergencies to solve the immediate problem and then plan whatever treatment you need.

Message us on WhatsApp as soon as it happens: we do our best to see you the same day, subject to schedule availability. If a tooth was knocked out whole, keep it in milk or saliva (never dry) and come in as soon as possible, because the first hour matters most.

What it includes

  1. Evaluation of the problem and an X-ray when needed.
  2. Immediate pain control.
  3. Treatment of the cause: a root canal, draining an infection, repositioning or repairing the tooth.
  4. A follow-up plan for the definitive treatment.

When does it make sense?

Severe pain that doesn’t ease with painkillers, a blow that leaves a tooth loose or knocked out, swelling or pus in the gum, or a broken tooth that hurts when you bite. With any of these signs, it’s not a good idea to wait for it to go away on its own.

“When it hurts or you get hit, don’t wait.”

Frequently asked questions

Do you see emergencies the same day?

Yes, we do our best to see you the same day you contact us, subject to schedule availability.

I lost a tooth from a blow. Can it be saved?

It depends on reaction time: the chances are better if you get to the office within the first hour. Bring the tooth in milk or saliva, never dry.

What should I do with severe pain on my way to the office?

You can take an over-the-counter pain reliever and avoid chewing on the affected side, but that doesn't replace a professional exam.

Do you also treat children's emergencies?

Yes, we treat emergencies for patients of all ages.
